If you’re planning a trip where you’ll be flying and you want to take your small pet with you may want to look into getting an airline approved pet carrier. If your pet is small enough to fit in a pet carrier that is allowed as a carry on you can take your furry friend in the cabin with you (it’s always better to take your pet in the cabin instead of the cargo area, which can be very stressful for them).
But before heading to the airport for your trip make sure you call the airport ahead of time to see exactly what their pet carrier requirements are. Each airline is a little different in what they require as far as pets traveling with you, so you need to call a couple weeks ahead of time to see if you need a certification from your vet and to see what they will let you bring on the plane.
