Diabetes Neuropathy

Diabetic nerve pain is one of the worst parts of having the disease of diabetes.  Known in the medical profession as diabetes neuropathy, this can be so excruciating that a person loses any ability to walk or stand.  It can also get so bad that the patient can’t even stand to have a bed sheet laid on his or her feet.  Any pressure at all can cause the patient to wince with pain.

Most normal forms of pain relief don’t seem to have much affect on this condition.  Several other drugs that were actually developed for other conditons have been tried with fairly good success.  One class of drug that is giving relief from the pain sometimes is anti-convulsion drugs.  When prescribed by a physician there has been some relief given to patients suffering from painful lower extremities.
