Admit it: if you have food around you the temptation to nibble just a little food is too tempting. You just cannot hold yourself from eating just a few bites, and then just a few bites more until most of the food around you is gone or you feel super full.

You should avoid having food around you. You should have food around you only when you are eating your meal. When the meal stops go somewhere where is no food. If you want to shed your weight stop talking in the kitchen while nibbling something. Avoid staying at the dinner table after you have eaten if you know you will overindulge in more food even if you are stuffed.

And for God’s sake stop snacking in front of the tv. Big glass of water should be enough to seriously reduce your desire to snack on something. Keep it at hands reach instead of a bag of chips.
