Jeff Gordon is a 4 time Nascar Sprint Cup Champion, formerly called the Winston Cup Series.  He has already achieved more success as a racecar driver than most that are currently racing or have retired will ever achieve.

He is a humanitarian, racecar driver, dad, husband, business man and all around nice guy.  He has been on magazine covers, co-hosted Live with Regis and Kelly when Regis is unavailable, he has hosted Saturday Night Live (the only Nascar driver to do so) and was the first Nascar driver to reach $100 Million in race winnings.  Jeff recently turned 38 (this month) and has no plans on retiring anytime soon.  Mark Martin who is 50 is currently racing and is in contention for the Championship this year (2009).  Mark’s accomplishment this year has changed people’s  minds about what age you should retire from driving in Nascar’s top series.  As talented as Jeff Gordon is, I expect him to be around for many years to come and still challegeing for a Championship.
