This perfume was launched in 2005 together with its counterpart for women, following the colored style of the Benetton brand, and with a bottle which remembers the first bottles of the Colors perfume line.
The aroma of this perfume stands out for its unusual notes: the opening of eucalyptus and the middle notes of a very catching aniseed, which increases its intensity as the perfume evolves.
The opening has a very volatile touch, not very intense, but with a gentle aroma of eucalyptus, which enters the nostrils, without becoming a nasal spray or an old barbershop cologne. After a few minutes, a note of aniseed can be also noticed, also very gentle. In the middle notes the anise dominates over the eucalyptus, with also some traces of very light patchouli (like the one in Paco Rabanne One Million) supporting the main notes, whereas a sweet ingredient gives as a neutral fruity notes, so that the fragrance doesn’t feel too traditional.
In the final notes, the aniseed aroma is still in the foreground, but more like a supporting note, with still some trace of patchouli and musk, plus an earthy and very soft vetiver (which reminds of Fahrenheit Dior), that is very close to woody aromas. Towards the end the aniseed becomes quiet intense.
This fragrance stands out for its use of the eucalyptus note, which was a very common ingredient in the classic colognes of the beginning of the XX century, but quite unusual in today’s perfumes. The integration of eucalyptus with anise makes this fragrance suitable all year round, and for both for an everyday office use (thanks to eucalyptus) and for an informal night out (thanks to anise). On the other hand this perfume doesn’t have any particularly attractive notes so it’s not very suitable for romantic dates. The age range would be between 20 and 45 years.
