There are two main general types of massage tables, stationary tables and portable tables. If you’re a traveling massage therapist, obviously a lightweight portable massage table is your best option. However, others may be interested in one as well. If you’re getting a massage table for home use, you may want to get a portable massage table. It will allow you to fold up the table when it’s not in use for easy storage in a closet or under a bed. Even if you own your own massage practice you may want a portable table for travel to local fairs, festivals, or with sports teams. Stationary tables can’t be moved easily, but the have the advantage of being both sturdier and more comfortable because they have more cushioning. They also have many other features that portable tables don’t have. However, this also means that they cost quite bit more than portable tables of comparable quality.
