The color red is one of the things that people associate with the skin condition called rosacea. This is literally a global pandemic that affects millions of people today. This is observed on both sexes however; this is more common on women. With regards to age, this is normally seen on people aged 30 to 60 years old. Redness or erythema is perhaps the most commonly observed symptom on persons with rosacea. Rosacea treatment comes in a wide array of types. A lot of treatment regimens are used in relieving the symptoms of rosacea and these include rosacea laser treatment, oral medications, and natural rosacea treatment.
The first signs of rosacea usually start as red patches on the skin however; this later on develops to small bumps or thick bumps. Rosacea often causes the skin of a person to have a flushed appearance along with apparent blood vessels. Natural rosacea treatment is perhaps the most ideal of all treatment regimens out there. This would be so since food is looked on as one of the best triggers of rosacea aside from other causes like hot beverages, wind, sun exposure, specific skin care products, alcohol consumption, hot weather conditions, cold weather conditions, and heavy exercise.
Natural rosacea treatment mainly involves observing a good and healthy diet. In here, patients are basically asked to avoid too much consumption of food items that are oily and those that are very high in fat content. On the other hand, oral medications that are commonly prescribed for persons with rosacea include minocycline, tetracycline, and doxycycline. All of these oral meds are basically classified as tetracycline antibiotics.
Oral medications for rosacea and acne are often paired with topical antibiotics such as metronidazole and benzoyle peroxide. Lastly, rosacea laser treatment makes use of laser. The laser used in this procedure is typically directed towards the skin of the face. Lasers used duing rosacea laser treatments are of two main types namely dyed pulse laser and intense pulsed light.
