There is a danger in shopping for a surgeon based solely on the advertised liposuction prices. Not all plastic surgeons are created equal and for such a serious procedure, as any surgery is, anybody would want the most qualified surgeon possible to avoid any major complications that might result during or after the surgery. The sculpting of a body is half medical science and half art. Whether the results are excellent, mediocre or downright horrendous depends on the skills of the surgeon. It is important that the surgeon is experienced and has a lot of past clients who could be contacted as references. During consultation is the time for both patients and surgeons to learn about each other’s background, goals, and expectations from the liposuction treatment.
