We just bought our beautiful baby girl home last week, and I understand now the term sleeping like a baby, because she is certainly doing that. My sister in law assures me that we were just lucky, and our next one will more than likely make up for it, but I just think she’s a little jealous.
One thing I didn’t account for was the fact that babies sleep so long during the day. Sometimes I feel like going and waking her up, just so that I can interact with her, but I guess it’s understandable, all their senses are working overtime for these first few months, and she needs all the rest that she can get. As a result, I had to install blackout roller blinds in her nursery, as the afternoon sun was shining straight through her window at about 3pm and keeping her awake.
