Aunt Gloria is fairly insane. I tried to discourage her from her fantasies, but to no avail. Get this. She’s hung a few beaded curtains around her house. These curtains are beautiful, painted with famous Van Goghs and such. The other day, her cat ripped one down and nearly all the strands broke open, sending hundreds of bamboo beads rolling around the living room and down the hallway. Aunt Gloria collected all the beads and announced that she was going to put it back together. That is some 9,720 beads we’re talking about. At least. I told her that even if she calls me when she’s 94 to tell me she’s done it, I won’t believe her. It would take decades, if even possible. What craziness is this?
