The tent sizes can be sometimes confusing because many people take the name of the tent for granted and will imagine that a 4 man tent is always good for 4 people but in reality sometimes four people may feel tight up in a 4 man tent. We have to always consider that we usually bring some luggage with us and that luggage needs to be housed as well in the tent in order to be on safe place and stay dry.

When deciding on the size of the tent we have to remember that having a larger size tent is always better than having a tent not roomy enough to fit all the members of the camping crew. We also need to think that each camper should feel comfortable sleeping in the tent with enough space to stretch his legs. Otherwise, it will not be resting but wrestling to get the space needed.

We should also consider the fact that each camper should bring along a sleeping bag which requires a little bit of extra space. Different types of tents of a same size can offer different level of comfort. It actually depends on the way they were designed and their shape. Some models are dome shaped, some are A-shaped, while others are in the style of a cabin.

The cabin style tent is considered to be the one with the most space inside. Some models may come with a dividing wall which can be zipped to create separate rooms and this feature is great to allow more privacy in the tent. It is sometimes good to fill the tent to its maximum capacity in order to keep it warm, this is especially good during the winter camping when it get really cold outside. It really depends on the nature of the trip, but sometimes campers may prefer to take their own one person tent.

After you have chosen the location of your beach camping trip, you have to start thinking and listing down the things that you will have to bring along.

The most basic items that must be in your backpacks are your tents, sleeping bags, some food to grill, and of course some drinks to enjoy the time around the bonfire at night. Just do not forget that drinking water is very essential when going on a beach camping holiday. You can expect that you will be doing so many things under the sun, so you will get thirsty all the time, so you would want to avoid getting dehydrated.

When it comes to convenience, especially when you are preparing some food or snacks, you need to take with you some small tools, such as a Swiss knife, a bottle and can opener, and a portable stove or you can opt for charcoal.

For hygiene, you may want to bring some cotton buds with you, a bug spray, and some rolls of tissue. And if you want to have some activities that would not ask you to go to the water, then your options are kites, playing cards and board games. All these will surely make your beach camping experience an unforgettable one.
