The Advent of Flush Up Toilets: The Elite of Toilet Systems
Most homeowners have standard toilets installed on their bathrooms. However, standard toilets are now considered a thing of the past with the development of new toilet systems with better functions. One example is the flush up toilets. From its name, this toilet system does not flush the waste straight up. Instead, the wastes are temporarily kept in a tank which is usually hidden on the wall behind the toilet. The tank is equipped with a macerator which functions to reduce and grind the wastes into a semi-liquid consistency.
Once this process is finished, the product is sent upward the pipes through a small discharge pipe. High-quality flush up toilets complete this process in just one flushing so no wastes are kept on the macerator or tank for too long. This lowers the chances of needing repairs because the process happens at a very fast rate. However, users should be keen not to flush other contents on this type of toilet system. Rags, tampons, and towels when flushed can block the macerator and even cause it to break.
Moreover, the users should also be keen in flushing corrosive cleaning products because these chemicals can melt and damage the macerator unit. Instead, use only cleaning products which the toilet system’s manufacturer has specifically approved.
A flush up toilet is mostly used in situations where in there is not enough drain line in the place where the toilet is to be installed. This is very common in home remodeling projects wherein a new toilet installation is usually done. A flush up toilet system is a very popular choice because its installation is very easy and won’t require tearing up the floor to change the plumbing system. The installation cost of this toilet system is also considerably cheaper compared to other types of toilets. Though they are a little expensive as compared to standard toilet units, their function and efficacy compensates the extra dollars on their price tags.
